Hello mages!
What do you think about the mage changes in wrath of the lich king.Do you like the new talents? and new spells from talents?.How do you like frostfire bolt and which spec do you think will be dominating in pve?.Its early to speak about it,but would like to hear your suggestions.For me the fire tree relies heavy on spell crit and is turning to be more aoe.I think with frostfire bolt very famous will be combination between fire and frost,but the arcane tree have been changed very good.So who knows could be deep arcane with either frost or fire?.Personally i like the job Blizzard is doing for mages right now.Before i knew about frostfire bolt i wanted new main spell,because i was little pissed and bored from spamming fireball and here you go we have new spell.I hope we would be more viable and better in dmg in wotlk and not so fragile,because many believe that mage is the most useless class in TBC,at least all top raiding guilds share this opinion.Have you heared about new spells except frostfire bolt and arcane barrieage?.

Loathed the early talent trees as I love fire, and it was turning out to be aoe/pvp only in fire. The damage increases weren't that good either. Haven't seen the latest versions though which are apparently an improvement; have heard elementalist might be shaping up to be a viable and high damage raid spec which would be fun. Would be very nice to see our damage come up a bit as thats what we're supposed to be good at and are not, compared to hunter, locks, shadow priest, elemental shammy...

What I hope is that we're not going to be forced to raid as arcane as I find it boring. Might have to get used to frost I guess, though frost cast noise sets my teeth on edge The frostfire bolt though great idea and maybe stop need for respec on those odd immune bosses?

It's too early to speak which build will be the best for wotlk,but i dont think there will be one "best" build for wotlk,i think players will finally have the chance to play with the build they like and be viable and useful in PVE.I think arcane has been changed greatly,gives more spell haste,increases spirit,new spell,increases the range of arcane spells,reduces the cooldown of arcane power,increases resistance and etc.I think that deep frost with some fire is very good right now,because winter's chil increases crit rating by all all spells,not just frost spells,the water elemental also gives the whole raid mana regen and also frostfire's dmg is increased.Combined with improved scorch,which now increases the dmg taken by ALL spells,the deep frost is not only good dmgwise,but also supports the raid.I am little disappointed from fire,the only cool new in the fire tree is the insane crit it gives,but hey too much crits will also make the mage first on the threat meter lol and cost much mana.Well i can't wait for the new expansion,there are so many awasame combinations and want to try all.,i think i will raid as frost/fire or deep arcane/fire.CHEERS
