After a discussion I've decided to post my opinions on the Haste stat for DK's and maybe start some discussion on here.

Firstly I'd like to explain to anyone that doesn't know why Haste is such an awful awful stat for us.

For Blood and Unholy is it quite frankly appalling due to the following facts:
- It doesn't reduce rune cd (yet)
- it doesn't affect how much runic power you've got
- and as such it doesn't affect how many special attacks you can do

Because of how dk rotations work if you have 0 haste or 5000% haste your rotation will be exactly the same.
E.g. for Unholy
0% haste - IT PS BS BS SS DC DC - start second rotation
5000% haste - IT PS BS BS SS DC DC - do nothing for a bit - start second rotation

So the only thing that has its damage increased by haste is white damage and things related to white damage (E.g. Necrosis and BCB)
And considering Melee + these bonuses only really makes up 30% or so of a dk's damage that means 1 haste rating will only increase 30% of the damage you do, as opposed to 1 Str/AP/Crit Rating which would increase all of the damage you do.

For frost haste is a little more valuable due to the higher % of damage done by white damage, but still pretty poor due to the following things:
- All of the above still applies
- KM works on a proc per minute system meaning if you make 50 attacks a minute or 1000000 attacks a minute you'll still get the exact same number of KM procs
- Other procs, such as FF aren't based off white damage making haste worthless to them

So to sum up, for Blood and Unholy haste = bad, for frost haste = average

Anyone got any thoughts?

Ell

Not considering haste...but ur unholy rotation could be 'better'.

Glyph of desease <3....

Refreshes all diseases for the cost of 1 blood run, instead of ''wasting'' 1 frst + 1 unh : )

Just saying

x

Mookey

ps.

im not even a guildy so just /ignore :>

That was just a random rotation to prove my point, the principle on haste still stands.
Also Glyph of disease is still debaitable in my eyes, i'm yet to be convinced by it, but this is the wrogn topic for that.
