Paladins not specced right

i inspected most of the paladins and see that they are not spected for 25 mans.
esp the 30% less silencing talent will improve our changes by a lot.

Holy:


Divine Strength: Increases strenght by 10% (5/5)
Oppinion: Worthless for healing. we dont need strength
Take it: NO

Divine Interlect: Increases Intellect by 10% (5/5)
Oppinion: Good talents. The more int.. the better
Take it: Yes

Spiritual Focus: 70% change to not get interupted while casting heals (5/5)
Oppinion: All paladins should have this.. Togeter with Concetration Aura 0% change on being interupted.
Take it: Yes

Improves Seal of the RIghteous: Increase dmg done by seal/judgement of righteous bu 15% (5/5)
Oppinion: Its a talant for a shockadin. Worthless for healers
Take it: No

Healing Light: Increases healing of Holy/Flash of light by 12% (3/3)
Oppinion: +healing. so take it
Take it: Yes

Aura Mastery: Increases the radius of your aura's by 10 yards. so it becaumes 40 yards (1/1)
Oppinion: Really needed for 25 mans. since your group needs your aura's and stand all over the place
Take it: Yes

Improved lay on hands: Gives about 30% more armor to the target. Reduced cooldown by 20 minutes (2/2)
Oppinion: I like this.. when i go all the way OoM. i wait for the right moment... use it. pop a potion. and will be fine for some time again.
Take it: Personal

Unyielding Faith: Increases change to resist stun and disoriantation effects by 10% (2/2)
Oppinion: Its nice. bud i dont have it since i have Imp LoH
Take it: Personal

Illumination: Every crit gives you 60% of the heals mana back (5/5)
Oppinion: You should have this.. saves you (even tho its nerfed a little) still a lot of mana back.
Take it: Yes

Improved Blessing of Wisdom: increases mp5 from 40mp5 to 49mp5 (2/2)
Oppinion: Well if it effects 25 people... its worth haveing
Take it: Personal

Pure of Hearth: Increase you resistance to curse and diseases by 15% (3/3)
Oppinion: Not good. we can cleanse diseases. and 15% on curses is for PVE almost worthless
Take it: NO

Divine Favor: Makes your next Holy/Flash of light Crit. Also works with Holy shock (1/1)
Oppinion:Verry nice to use with Holy Light for nice Healing and 60% mana back with Illumination talent
Take it: Yes

Sanctified light: Increases Crit% of holy light with 6% (3/3)
Oppinion: Since paladins use holy lights more often. its nice to have 30% crit on them or somthing.
Take it: Yes

Puryfying Power: Cleanse/Consecration cost 10% less mana, 20% more crit on you undead kill skills. (2/2)
Oppinion: Paldins dont cleanse as much as they use to do pre-tbc. So this talent is not needed anymore.
Take it: No

Holy power: Increases Crit% by 5% on All your holy spells (5/5)
Oppinion: We need crits so we have much profit from this one.
Take it: Yes

Lights Grace: Your holy lights reduce the casting time of your next holy light by 0.5 sec for 15 secs. (3/3)
Oppinion: This talents makes us able to do 4k+ healing/2 secs (holy light spamming). This talent made us 5 man's healers.
Take it: Yes

Holy Shock: instand Dmg attack/crappy heal (1/1)
Oppinion: withouth it. soloing is made inpossible. and some people use it to heal. (i dont)
Take it: Yes

Blessed life: 10% on half damage recieved. (basicly 5% dmg reduction) (3/3)
Oppinion: Worthless waist of talents. for PVE esp
Take it: No

Holy Guidance: Increases spelldmg/healing by 35% of your int (5/5)
Oppinion: its + healing so you need it. 600 intelect gives aprox: 200+ healing/dmg
Take it: Yes

Divine Illumination: Reduces the mana cost of your spells by 50% for 15 secs (1/1)
Oppinion: Needed for 25mans since all the fights take damn long and you need to save mana. esp when spamming holy lights its great
Take it: Yes

Prot:

Imp Devotion Aura: Increases armor from Devotion aura from 861 to 1205 (5/5)
Oppinion: Almost worthless. since 300 armor is nothing. bud the outher talant is just as crappy for healing.
Take it: Personal (this one is better for healing)

Redoubt: 10% change to increase block change by 30% (5/5)
Oppinion: Nice for tanks.. Worthless for healers
Take it: Personal (would pick devotion tho)

Precision: 3% more hit change with mellee
Oppinion: Nothing to do with healing. not a big imp for keeping up judgements imo
Take it: Personal

Gaurdions favor: BoP goes from 5min CD to 3min CD. BoFreedom 4 secs longer (2/2)
Oppinion: nice talent. since you can just BoP a lot more dps when there about to get ganked.
Take it: Personal

Toughness: 10% more armor from items
Oppinion: Its nice to have lots of armor as paladin. so you can take some blows
Take it: Personal

Blessing of Kings: Increases stats by 10% on target. (1/1)
Oppinion: we need this for the extra mana and HP and the rest we get out of this
Take it: Yes

Improved Righteous Fury: Reduces dmg by talen while righteous fury is active by 6%. and increases additional treath from it... from 60% to 90% (3/3)
Oppinion: Nice for AoE tanking. Can be used on trash mobs in karazhan. Does nothing for healing.
Take it: Personal

Shield specialisation: Increases dmg absorbed by shield by 30% (3/3)
Oppinion: Nothing to do with healing.
Take it: No

Anticipation: Increase Defence skill By 20
Oppinion: Nothing to do with healing
Take it: No

Stoicism: Increases resistance to stun effects by 5% and reduces change spells will be dispelled by 15% (1/2)
Oppinion: Cant get more then 1/2. nothing special
Take it: Personal

Improved Hammer of Justice: Reduces Cooldown by 5 secs (1/3)
Oppinion:Cant get more then 1/3. nice when 3/3 bud like this not worth it.
Take it: Personal

Improved Concetration aura:
increases change to not be interupted from 35% to 50%. And reduces silence and interupt effects by 30%
Oppinion: You need to have this for 25 mans. lets say gruul silences us for 9 secs.. you can then heal after 6 secs.. thats 1/2 hits from gruul earlier
Take it: YES! need it for gruul and VR and proberly more bosses after that.

Outher prot talents: No points for it

Retri:

Dont have points for retri.
Wanne have Imp BoM? get a retri paladin in the raid.. who also adds 3% crit and 4 judgements.
You dont need retri talents for healing. And if you wanne raid.. you just grind just a little bit more slow.


So what i wanne say with this:

i would like to see all paladins between 41-20-0 and 43-18-0... preferably 42-19-0
and with all the talents i mentiant as .. take it: Yes

you can say if you think im wrong somewhere.

Think im slacking somewhere? /quote it out and will discuss it

42 - 19 tbh its best spec
u dont need any more in the pally talent tree than 42 points

and i got imp devo aura and various other good boosts. so just look at mine and copy it :P

Just saw the Video of Bullarius from the gruul fight

at the end.. just before gruul dies.. you see me in frond of him with a moon above my head...

you can clearly see then when the silence hits.. i start casting again while bull is still silenced...

thats why i want paladins to have the IMP concetration aura. so they can give it to all healers (by putting them in there group)

really a life saver.. 3 secs is a life time in tankhealing in 25 mans.

and i didnt say i was better than you, tbh i'm probably one of the worst players that has ever lived, i just have alot of experience.

if you want to focus on arena's a bit too, like me, i'd suggest to take redoubt and stoicism from the prot tree and unyileding faith in holy tree, but that's just my personal preference, like you already mentioned: it's optional

Tnx for respecced guys.

Like you might already have noticed on gruul. Its a lot easyer when specced for it.

i hope we will soon have all our paladins specced this way

Nice post Sturmpanzer!
Though there are a few things I disagree on with you...
1st of all: keep in mind that you can give only 1 blessing to a person and usually u have more pally's in a raid. So make sure you dont have the same specs. 1 person in a raid with blessing of kings is enough, 1 person with blessing of wisdom improved and 1 person with blessing of might improved. The person with devotion aura improved should be put in tank group and needs the range of his aura improved. Also someone with concentration aura improved might be handy for a caster group.

2nd: Holy Shock is definitely not a crappy heal! It's a "damn, he's dying, gief heal now" heal. With some +healing (I have +1800 atm) it can crit for over 2k, so not crappy...

3rd: take precision! Its very handy to keep up judgements, if u miss half of your hits, u spend too much time on refreshing them. I don't know if ure actually using judgements a lot, but if u don't.... start practising it! It needs some practise, but its an awesome dps boost for hunters especially, since they don't suffer mana issues with judgement of wisdom. Also rogues need way less healing with judgement of light.

1 note: Make sure that when u invest in gems and enchants, u invest in + healing and + crit mostly, since + crit gives u the mp5.

just like BoK

Imp Devotion is more use then the outher redoubt thingy.
bud i still would never use it unless you have 2 paladins in the MT group.
since not getting intrupted > 1k armor

and we dont + hit.. since its not a big upgraid. And keeping up judgements is not a thing we should do while healing.. unless your borred like on attument and on 1st phase of prince.

you still want judgements and imp BoM?
get a retri paladin.


about my gems/enchants

i went for Int mainly since i was doing kara a lot and i wanted a lot of mana.
Int= +healing

and crittint is nice.. bud even withouth to much crit enchants you still crit a lot
i critted 28% last night.. and 46% on my holy lights

Improved concentration > improved devotion.... but I don't think improved concentration is a must! It's nice to put a pally with that in a caster group. Judgements though, will get more and more important. A lot of fights, it isnt too hard to keep a judgement up while healing and its a huge boost to raid dps! On Maggy for example, I don't see a reason why you shouldn't keep up a judgement, since it doesn't harm standing in melee range hitting Maggy between your heals. Hunters won't go out of mana and also your retri paladin or enhancement shaman has much use of it. So try it, it will get common when u practice a bit! (btw, we (Echo) had our first Kaelthas kill yesterday, woooooot!)

well imp concetration reduces silence effect by 30%.
so if you get silenced for 9 secs.. it will only be 6 secs.
this makes fights like gruul alot easier.
it also works in PVP. on shocks and Counterspelss/Spellocks

and yes.. if we had 4 active paladins we might have 3 talented one way.. and 1 the outher way.
bud then again. we got 9/10 half active paladins.

btw. if you got a retri paladin he can just keep up all the judgements right?
or did they change that?
with crusader strike (refreses all judgements on a target)
anyway.. doesn't matter.
i still think 3% hit for 3 talents points is not worth it.

I never tried it out on Gruul to be honest, since I've never had improved concentration aura. But I can tell you for sure that you won't need that aura improved again after Gruul. (Don't know about MH and BT ofc)

A retradin can do that indeed, but u won't have 1 available each raid I guess.

Btw, you don't have to agree with me ofcourse. I just share my experiences with you guys. If you want to do it different, it's ok to me.

no hard feelings. i like a little discussion. doesn't matter to me if you are/arenot in guild.
btw you also get silenced on VR.
and in ZA you also get silenced.
and thats where we are raiding/gonne raid some time soon maby.

anyway. it made or gruul raid last time go much smoother haveing 3/5 paladins who where there specced like this.

btw i never said they had to respec like this. its just better for where we are now.

i made this post before we got him down with only guildies.
