A big gratz to the 10 of us who managed to get to the third chest in ZA last night. I am really keen to continue the good progress and hopefully get an amani war bear or two in the guild before they are removed forever in Lich King. We had 4 minutes to spare when Janalai bit the bullet and from reading up on various sites you need to have around 12 minutes left at this point to have time to kill Halazzi. Given that there were a few pauses, we pulled a couple of groups we could avoid and that this was the first run with that exact group i think we can definitely do the 4 bosses in time.

A few ideas I have in order to help with the timing would be to have one player (e.g. Matafa or Purplemoon) who can dps or heal with the same spec, on boss fights they can heal and on the trash they can dps in order to get them down a bit faster. The other alternative would be to go down the 2 healer route entirely, including on the bosses, I'd really like the opinion of some of the healers who have been on the last few runs where we have been making good progress on the timed event, Alfar/Dubbs/Matafa/Ell etc. as to how realistic they think this is for us. I know that ZA can be 2-healed but whether it requires T6 etc. i'm not 100% sure on and unfortunately what I know about raid healing could be written on the back of a postage stamp.

Another point to note is that if we are going to try and get the 4th chest we should be sodding the expense and all using 2 elixirs (some people last night just had one) or a flask as well as using mana potions/innervates etc. on the trash so that we dont need to stop and drink between pulls.

As soon as we get the next patch changes, I plan to take advantage of the new talents, and the new rules on gear, and turn my Priest from a healer into a healer/DPS hybrid.

Unfortunately, as soon as we get the next patch changes, I think the Bear will be removed, so I'm not sure how much help that is...

well lets jsut hope we can reach that... gaining 12 min left seems hard tho ,-)
anyway very nice run indeed, i have to say taht the group was really well balanced... and that the totems are a real boots for melee and hunters... we seem to have a good configuration working here ,-)

oh ive heard that there are several shortcuts that helps a lot to gain time in timer runs... does anyone knows exactly where they are and how to reach them ?
taht could b a beginning to save time...

Job very well done. Im very happy and proud and know we are capable of doing the 4 with a bit of practice and perseverance.
