Well lately Ive heard alot about this boss being pretty easy and many guilds that are far less experienced than us that have been doing it. So we will be doing it very soon, if not even tonight.
One thing I see that helps alot is to have the pvp trink to get out of the Forst Nova asap, but its not a must. This can also be displelled but also not main priority.
Please make sure and do your homework so we can have a smooth kill. There is a nice clear guide Here, but many other places too.
The Battle of Mount Hyjal is basically a gauntlet type fight that pretty much repeats itself when the main difference is the bosses themselves. The waves before each boss are similar and therefore need similar tactics. If Rage goes down easy, there is no reason Anetheron shouldnt, and so on. Here is a rundown of Anetherons fight, you will notice that its basically the same fight until the boss himself comes, where you nede to pay attention to a few specific abilities.
I advice us to read up on all the bosses, and the trash waves, so we know what to do, and I think we can have a good raid there.

Rage Winterchill is so simple, but the pvp trinket is definetely a must.

Also trash requires a well equipped pala tank so i can go on mine.

The trash is much harder than the boss.

But all thats required is a well geared pala tank picks everything up, and each other tank pulls 2 or 3 adds off him depending on what they can comfortably tank, then AoE starts.

Depending on our tank situation, and aoe situation actually, I can take my pala tank as well. Im thinking maybe 2 pala tanks even better than 1. But if we are overbooked with tanks ill take hunter. Or alternatively if we lack aoe/dps maybe I tank and you can take lock Ell.
You know the frost nova doesnt seem to bad to me tbh. Its only on Rage and a few seconds long. It can be dispelled but seems most say not to even bother, and death and decay wont be cast on you when you are frozen, so am I missing anything here? Is it really worth gimping dps just to have the trink on?

I suspect it has to be the 2min trink, not the 5min one. So lets get busy running bg's if peeps dont have it. Or if you're a gnome, never mind. If i remember right, escape artist has same cd as trink, 2 mins.

Yes it is definetely worth it. There's no question the pvp trink is vital here.

U need to assign Healer(s) to immediatelly heal the people that it gets cast on, as well as them using the trink. IT kills people soooo quickly

If i remember right its about 16k honor for the 2min cooldown trink so have fun spending a day in av. I suspect only my druid has it so i have to spend 2 days there.

Or if loads of peeps need the trink maybe we should go and raid a battlemaster in a horde city -> around 10k honor a pop (unless they have changed that).

8k honor only.

But no need for you Ash

Mages can blink out of it, and pala's can bubble

Ok I was mixing the frost nova with the icebolt, the frost nova is nothing to worry about, its the icebolt that sticks you in ice and does a total of about 15k damage over 5 seconds, I guess the only way to deal with it besides special abilities or trink is to be quick on the heals.
I still think we should go there tonight and Im fairly sure we can do at least Rage.
Whats nice about it is that there isnt a long tiring clear. You basically walk in, talk to the npc, and the waves start coming.

i've heard taht if we bring the mobs close enough to defenders, all the npcs will help us kill them, more or less like the stairs fight in zul farak

A hunter or 2 need to kite 1 (or 2) of the weak enemies to the NPC's to get them involved

as far a the second boss is concerned, i think there is a real difference of level between rage and him... and we need to down these elementals much faster..

was fun to down it yesterday !

i can see most classes dont need trinkets : rogues, druids, mages due to their abilities ,
btw i tried shapeshift from cat to bear form with no success after this i tried to transform human form only and seems like it work , but i lost my crucial first second or two so i died anyway .

Wont hurt to try, as it helps on loads of things, like the twins before curator, maiden fight, aran, loads of trash mobs everywhere etc. Pity its only for shamans group but would prove useful if it works.
