I recently set up outfitter for 2 sets of gear for my resto spec, a crit set and a haste set. For fights where u cant chain heal, think XT and Kelthuzad, haste is basically pointless as you will be using riptide + LHW and with tidal waves ur LHW will probably already be under 1s cast time so haste wont up ur HPS at all (unless u cast 3 LHW between riptides and then it will only help on 1/4 of your casts). Crit has the double benefit of upping ur HPS (bigger heals) and ur mana regen from water shield procs. I find it almost impossible to go oom using my crit gear and Riptide+LHW spam.

On fights where u can chain heal i think given our usual raid set up chain heal is still a viable way to heal and for example on kolo its really nice for healing the gripped people. If we had 2 or more holy priests in our 25 man raids then i think chain heal becomes a redundant spell (at least until you have 4 set T8 bonus) because a PoH cast with 3xserendipity will always get there first not to mention the instant CoH. If we get some more active priests / druid healers who know what they are doing then I will be only using my haste gear on very rare occasions at least until I have 4 piece T8 bonus. The problem I foresee once we have 4 T8 and start using chain heal more is that we will be OOM in next to no time, at least until 3.2 when water shield can proc from chain heal. I mean with full haste gear and the 4 T8 bonus chain heal cast time will be around 1.6s I would expect which means u can burn mana at a crazy rate.
