When choosing gear I use rogue gear spreadsheet from Elitistjerks.

It's simple and straight forward to get the best dps out of the gear u look for. It can also tell you which gear is better from the one you have and how much. You can also know what enchant is the best for what gear piece.

It's a bit biased towars a socketed items since it always calculates the upgrade towards the socketed items socketed with epic gems, which is sometimes pointless. I don't know if set bonuses are used to recomend upgrades, but in most cases one can see this for himself.

It's also very nice when trying to gear up and alt to be good for early raids since it tells you the names of the blue quest reward items that are worth something. Just copy the name and pass it into Wow head and u know where u can find it.

I love this sort if info. Even tho I dont raid as rogue, its always interesting to see the differences and get the downlow on different classes. It makes me want to go roll a rogue and level it right now tbh
Besides that - Elitist Jerks is just a great site for reading up and their forums are packed with information. I have it bookmarked.
