this add on is a damage addon, and i know that people say that its not an individual that makes a raid, but the teamwork with in it... but this sorta thing shows how much ur contributing to the team effort. Also using the data recount gives you, you can check yourself against other people of your class and compare data between other people.

This is very good for dps, as it tells you what causes the most damage for you, and also if you wanna see how other people are working, it shows you what moves they use and gives the damage percentage of each move.

At first i was a sceptic but now i love recount. It's very good and i'd recommend getting it. (plus you can rub it in peoples faces if you beat them )

think most people inclusive me use SWstats it callucale alot of different stuff for example healer 1 who he healed and how much
and the pet dps from the hunter can also be counted with the owner
also see how many times a certain atk got used if you put it on a certain target
also recalculate the prievius resets all in to 1 big meter so you can from the begin to the end of the raid what dmg every one done.

i got sws too, but occasionally it bugs and doesnt work properly, whereas recount works from combat logs, not a network, so it tends to get a little less corrupted.

Still problem with SWS is you have to sync it and have that annoying pop up for a reset, whre as recount u can do it yourself, and you have a fight breakdown aswell.

it's really really useful.

i have used both and both are correct,but SW is synch,so you cant lie about the dmg,but tbh Recount is better,because not only shows dmg,but shows many things,statistics,analysis.It shows damage done,friendly fire,damage taken,deaths,doth uptime,hot uptime,threat,dispells,dispelled,activity,CC,healing done,healing taken.So recount is much more versatile and shows you everything you want to know about the raid statistics.IT shows you also details of your own dmg and of the others.So i prefer Recount,tho atm i use SW

good choice Sem,esp for officers/raid leaders is perfect in my opinion,because they recieve the whole info about the raid performance with Recount.

Yes Recount is great but you do need to be aware that as it runs off your combat log it can miss some info for players that are a long way away.

Having said that, I love it. It tells me who moved on Shade of Arran flame wreath or who took damage that they shouldn't have in various fights so we can use it to find out who doesn't understand the tactics and explain better....

it also gives a breakdown of skills used and what could be done to improve play/gear

sws prevents kids from spamming the dmg in raids, thats why i love it. and now it shows the totems for shammies too.

its a decent system hin, and its preffered over the rest of the addons by many ppl, although if u prefer swstats thats u... but dont come crying to me when it wont sync

never had probs with sws sync.

recount is rili nice like vladoo said ...has all u need..for healing and dmg...and when it comes to updating addons ...wowmatrix is the best ... u can make an total scan on addons and u can see wich is out off date and wich not also u can easily instal new addons direct into the addon directory..no more zip/rar unpacking....

I like the old zip-unpacking though!

I've already got Microsoft Windows Vista and AVG scanning my harddisk looking for things to update break each day, that's bad enough as it is!

i dont need to unzip it frend of mine dos need to zip it but i just have download addon > open it > pull all the files from that window to the addon map > start wow> enjoy new addon
