* Envenom’s scaling has been increased from 7% to 9% of attack power per combo point.

o Assassination
+ Master Poisoner: Now also provides a 33/66/100% chance of preventing Envenom from consuming Deadly Poison. * Fan of Knives: The damage done by this ability has been reduced by 30%.
o Combat
+ Throwing Specialization: This talent no longer causes Fan of Knives to interrupt spellcasting.
o Subtlety
+ Honor Among Thieves: A 1-second cooldown is now enforced on how often a rogue can gain combo points from his party via this talent.

In other words.... OMG

These changes to Mutilate builds comes as a compensation for bad Mutilate scaling with BiS gear since 3.2
The changes are quite dramatic tbh and are simulating the old Envenom Glyph into a deep Assassination talent.
Although the changes are dramatic, they are effecting the rotations and I expect only around 200dps increase from this.
It is also safe for Blizzard PvP wise as this is not a burst buff, but it will make mutilate "accelerate" faster in dps.
These changes also makes DP ticks clipping a non issue and will make mutilate rotations easier to produce maxdps.
I am sure it will take no time for the rogue community to start trying weapon switching on static boss fights
which includes:
- Weapon switch after 5 stacks of DP to a 1.8 speed OH with IP
- Envenom to gain IP procs boost
- Weapon switch few seconds before DP is timed out to shiv the target
- Repeat
